Winter Wonderland in Georgia

A very favorite tradition for our family to do Thanksgiving weekend is to head Inside the Perimeter to Atlantic Station. Atlantic Station’s idea of “Live, Work, Play” is easy to accomplish in the pedestrian friendly neighborhood.

But, what makes us leave our OTP comfort zone every year is the huge and beautifully decorated Christmas tree found in Central Park. If that isn’t enough to get you in the holiday spirit, then just wait until the top of every hour when it starts to “snow” in the park.

For this Ohio transplant it melts my heart to have some snowfall, Christmas carols and a gorgeous tree to enjoy for the evening. Of course, Santa is on premise for photos and a holiday train ride is choo-choo-ing for the little ones.

Atlantic Station has many other great reasons to visit as well: top notch restaurants, shops, and entertainment. We consider it “Worth the Drive” especially to hit some stores that aren’t found at the local shopping malls. And it’s a refreshing change of pace to park your car and be outside walking from shop to shop, vs. inside the mall.

So, if you are like me and need your fix of snow and holiday spirit, jump in the car and head to Atlantic Station. Scoop OTP approves — it’s “Worth the Drive”!
