Movie production this summer isn’t slowing down in Atlanta. Here are just a few that are filming now and have casting calls for extras.
Clint Eastwood’s next film is a drama based on the book The 15:17 To Paris: The True Story Of A Terrorist, A Train, And Three American Heroes. Eastwood is no stranger to OTP as he filmed and directed scenes in Milton for “Sully.” Tammy Smith Casting is looking for real military, secretaries, as well as kids and minors.
Every year, it seems like he is filming multiple movies and this year is no different. The Rock has teamed up with Brad Peyton on the film adaptation of the popular Midway video game Rampage, and now the film has a working title, R19. Tammy Smith Casting has notices posted on her Facebook page for the Atlanta area.
TAG is a film based on a true story featured in the Wall Street Journal about a group of friends who have been playing a no-holds-barred version of the children’s game Tag for the last 30 years. The movie features Jeremy Renner, Hannibal Burress, Ed Helms and Tracy Morgan. Stay tuned to CL Casting and Project Casting for those opportunities.
Taraji P. Henson who filmed Hidden Figures OTP will star in Best of Enemies. She will play Atwater, the ferocious civil rights activist in Durham, North Carolina. She had a decade-long battle with sworn enemy C.P. Ellis, the Exalted Cyclops of Durham’s Ku Klux Klan. Their feud came to an abrupt and unlikely end in 1971. After a court-ordered school desegregation decree threw the Southern city into turmoil, Atwater and Ellis reluctantly agreed to co-chair an intensive, two-week community meeting to try to reach a compromise. In The Gospel of Kevin, Kevin Finn, played by Jason Ritter of Parenthood is a cluelessly self-serving person on a dangerous path to despair. In a downward spiral, Kevin returns home to stay with his widowed twin sister and niece. On his first night there, an unlikely celestial being named Yvette appears to him and presents him with a mission – to save the world. Casting Taylor Made has posted some casting calls for this show.
