Hot off the presses from Project Casting, Spiderman will be filming scenes in Atlanta because it is less expensive than New York City. Spider-Man

Many of Marvel’s movies such as  Ant-Man Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Captain America: Civil War have filmed in Atlanta. Now, Spider-Man  joins the mix with confirmation from Screen Rant.

Want to know where the next Spider-Man is going to film? Well, according to reports Spider-Man will secretly film in Atlanta under a fake identity.

Actor Tom Holland spilled the beans during an interview saying:

“We’re shooting in Atlanta for most of it, because they have studios there and I think it’s cheaper to build a New York set than it is to shoot here, because it’s going to be very expensive,” Holland shared. “We probably will end up here (in New York) for one week or two.”

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will debut in Captain America: Civil War, which will arrive on May 6, 2016. He will then star in the Jon Watt’s directed Spider-Man movie to be released on July 28, 2017.

Holland opened up about what makes Spider-Man so different in comparison to the other superheroes. He said:

“I have always been a huge fan of Spider-Man, and growing up, I had countless Spider-Man costumes, only two years ago did I go to a fancy dress party dressed as Spider-Man. I had this awesome morph suit where you can put your phone on your chest and spiders would crawl across the costume, it was awesome! He’s always been a big part of my life and a big part of boys’ lives because everybody can relate to him.”

Spider-Man is just the latest of the new crop of movies and TV shows filming now in Georgia. With Georgia’s 30% film tax credits, Georgia has catapulted itself to the top in film industry production.
