Free Shuttle Service for Saturday Concert in Woodstock

If you are heading to downtown Woodstock to enjoy the latest summer concert this Saturday, here’s the free shuttle Scoop:

To assist concert-goers with ease of access to the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater, the City of Woodstock will offer a free shuttle service; leaving from Northside Towne Lake Parking Deck located at 900 Towne Lake Parkway in Woodstock traveling to and from the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater located at 101 Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock.  The shuttle stop will be on East Main Street at the front of The Park at City Center.

Four, 24 passenger shuttle buses will run from 5:00p.m. – 11:45p.m. Individuals interested in utilizing this service may park at the Northside Towne Lake Parking Deck to ride the shuttle.  The shuttle will then drop-off/pick-up riders along East Main Street in downtown Woodstock.

Based on the riders’ feedback the first concert of the season, they have added two additional buses to increase the frequency.  In addition, a staff member will be present at the pick-up site and will be in communication with the drivers in order to keep riders updated on the schedule. Last month, the show was on a Friday night which may have also affected traffic with more commuters on the roads.

Runaway June will close out the series on Saturday, September 9, 2017.  A country music trio, they bring to the stage a sound that has not been heard by country music fans since the days of the Dixie Chicks.  With songs such as “Lipstick,” their music speaks to the modern woman.

All summer concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.
