New Details on Sixes Tavern

The Butcher and Bottle Scoop OTP

We have more information about the new owner of Sixes Tavern!

Seth Hendricks, owner of the Virginia Highlands Goin’ Coastal and Bridgemill resident, will be taking over Sixes Tavern. Chef John Bertrand of the Virginia Highlands Goin Coastal will be leading the kitchen.

The new eatery, named “The Butcher and Bottle” will be a gastro-pub style with a menu priced slightly lower than Goin’ Coastal.

Hendricks was kind enough to give us a little description of what people can expect for the interior layout. The area that was used for live music will have comfy couches, over-sized chairs and TV’s for a lounge-like atmosphere, where you can relax after a round of golf or a game. The remaining dining areas will be quieter and more traditional.

We haven’t seen the full menu yet, but we have been told it includes intriguing “snacks” that Hendricks is excited about, including bacon caramel popcorn. Menu items will include a variety of sandwiches and a bacon-pimento burger that we can’t wait to try. (We haven’t heard about the lighter choices yet — we forgot to ask after hearing bacon caramel popcorn!)

Hendricks is aiming for a Valentine’s Day opening. Stay tuned for more details!

The Butcher and Bottle will be located at 3568 Sixes Road in Canton.
