Local on North to Open in Canton

With much anticipation surrounding the newest addition to Canton’s food scene, Local on North Eatery & Bar will officially be open on Tuesday, September 5th. While visiting another new business, Southernite Interiors, we popped out heads into the new restaurant and were impressed with the build out as well as the size of the restaurant.

Local on North

Local on North pays tribute, through food and drink, to the culture of Central and North Georgia. HusbandLocal on North and wife Salem Makhlouf and Georganne Rose, who own the Real Fix Pizza in Roswell selected Canton for their latest business venture because of its small-town feel and the niceness of the people. The pair hopes that Canton residents make “Local on North” one of their regular dining choices.

The new, 78 table restaurant should seat about 135 people and offer an outdoor seating area as well. They plan to offer about 5 different pizza choices, as well as burgers and steaks. Prices for dinner will range from $15-$35. They will be offering a lunch menu as well to draw in folks who are working in the downtown area, with plates ranging from $8-$14. A “well known”, but unnamed, chef is in the works as well, and they are promising something for everyone on their menu.

For those of you who can’t wait until Tuesday, here is a peek at the menu:

Local on North joins several new businesses that have opened in Canton this year, including Steep Teahouse, Queenies, Southernite Interiors, Mamma Onesta’s, and a new concept at the Chamberhouse. Follow us on Facebook for more Scoop.
