Holiday Lights Of Hope & Contest

 This December the Holiday Lights of Hope returns for the fifth year to transform Hobgood Park into a holiday wonderland. The Holiday Lights of Hope is a large scale, walk-through event, with almost two million holiday lights. The event includes a mixture of traditional holiday lights with animated displays, including a 30-foot Christmas tree, 17-foot tall reindeer, 15-foot tall snowman family and even a replica of the Eiffel Tower. Enter our contest to win a family four pack of tickets! Parents and children can get lost in the mile-long maze of bright Christmas lights. Enjoy our Main Street as it comes to life with holiday décor. Visit the Home Depot field as they compete for the best holiday village.

Families can have their pictures taken with Santa every night in the Santa Village.Shop with unique vendors in the Vendor Village. The event, located at Hobgood Park, 6888 Bells Ferry Road, Woodstock will be open each night from December 8-23 from 6 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, and free for children ages 14 and under; purchase them here.The Holiday Lights of Hope began from an idea from the several board members. As a fundraising board, the members were looking an event to support the center in a family friendly way. It opened in 2012 on a small scale with just two fields at Hobgood Park. The Holiday Lights of Hope has grown to include all four fields at the park as well as additional areas. Follow their Facebook page for weather updates.

jlwoodstock_hloh_300x250All proceeds from the event benefit Anna Crawford Children’s Center in Woodstock, a non-profit that provides intervention and treatment services to children and families impacted by child sexual, physical and emotional abuse. The Anna Crawford Children’s Center assists over 500 families each year. The center also offers an ever-expanding array of preventative services aimed at the eradication of child abuse. The center non provides statewide education for those who are responsible for the evaluation and treatment of child abuse investigations. The center has been in operation since 1990.
