Georgia’s longest-running and the oldest haunted house is House on Horror Hill in Alpharetta. They promise screams like no other for their 35th year. Located at 1650 Alpharetta Street, they will be open Thursday-Saturday in October. House on Horror Hill is run by volunteers. They promise a thrilling and passionate show. No animatronics here, just good old fashioned horror. Open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from September 29th through October 29th with special engagements on October 30th and Halloween! Tickets on sale at 7:00 PM. Doors open at dark!
The Jaycees run Woodstock’s Trail of Terror at 216 Rope Mill Road. If you’re getting scared out of your wits, it’s good to know that the ticket money is helping those in need through the Jaycee’s community programs. Opening day is October 5th. Thursday’s we run from 8-10, Friday and Saturdays 8-11. Last day is October 28th and the price is 15.
Previously in Kennesaw, 13 Stories has now relocated to southern OTP in Newnan, GA. This house is known for being very scary and extreme and it isn’t for the faint of heart. For those 18 and older, there is an extreme haunt called Sacrifice, and it costs additional fees. The location isn’t really 13 floors, technology simulates the feel and terror! Do you have the courage to enter the Gates of Misery in Rome, GA? Their 12,000 square foot walk through haunted house is filled with torture, torment, terrifying screams and nightmares you’re afraid to face in a dark atmosphere filled with live actors, special effects, props and more in a 93 year old 2-story building. If you visit 174 Chatillon Road, Rome, Georgia 30161 near Rome Braves Stadium, you might want to sleep with a light on after your tour.
