When it comes to lunch, not much compares to a great salad. Especially when it’s made fast, fresh and priced right. Go Salad! is a new, fast casual restaurant specializing in just that.
The menu includes house-crafted salads like Greek and Cobb, with a few new kinds too, like the Carnivore and Steakhouse salads. You can also create your own with four different lettuce choices and dozens of other classic and premium toppings. They offer a selection of wraps and sandwiches too, as well as a “hearty” soup of the day. And, for those of you who love chicken salad, they provide FOUR different options!
The Woodstock restaurant has been open since November, and we knew we’d have to check it out come January when healthy eating resolutions would be in full swing. If you’re not a salad fiend like we are, don’t let the salad concept scare you off. In fact, on the day of our visit, we were easily outnumbered by lunching men and a group of fire fighters. Phillip, the owner, has spiced up some of the traditional lunch favorites: spicy jalapeno chicken salad and spicy thai rice soup.
I’m looking forward to going back for another yummy Cobb Salad. Anytime I can get a great salad quick and I don’t have to make it myself is a win-win. Healthy food fast. Go Salad! Offering catering and to-go options.
