UPDATE: “The Resident” on Fox airs January 29th at 9:00 PM. Watch for scenes filmed on Blankets Creek Trail!
Blankets Creek Trail is the latest spot in Cherokee County to have film crews working at it, and this time it’s for The Resident, a new television series from Fox. According to SORBA Woodstock Vice President Angela Chambers, the show is filming a mountain biking scene at the trail.
The Resident is from 20th Century Fox Television, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Fuqua Films, a tough, brilliant senior resident guides an idealistic young doctor through his first day, pulling back the curtain on what really happens, both good and bad, in modern-day medicine. Written by Amy Holden Jones (Black Box), Hayley Schore, and Roshan Sethi. Philip Noyce (Revenge) directed the Pilot. Oly Obst and Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) produce. The series stars Matt Czuchry, Bruce Greenwood, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, and Shaunette Wilson. The series is filming in Atlanta.

It is becoming more common to see filming signs and crew around Cherokee county. We are awaiting the return of filming for the second season of Ozark sometime this fall, and Ball Ground filmed American Made is in theaters now.
