Race Over To Andretti Indoor Karting

Your tween and teen children will be excited to visit Roswell’s Andretti Indoor Karting and Games (and so will many dads!). Did you know Andretti’s is expanding to Cobb County? Click here for The Dirt!

The 100,000 square foot complex houses race cars, a rock wall, a ropes course, and a zip line as well as hundreds of arcade games, conference and party rooms, and an adult comedy club.

As a mom, I appreciated the quieter restaurant and the fact that it offered televisions and wi-fi access. The kids were able to play and afterwards we all enjoyed a good meal.

If your kiddies are below the age of 16, they are put on a smaller race course — it doesn’t matter how big or tall they measure. My kids still managed to get competitive weaving in and out on the small race track. This is not bumper cars, but a speedway race concept taken after the race car legend and owner’s name: Mario Andretti.

I liked that the kids could choose either the rock wall or the rope challenge. My kids did one of each so I could get the scoop. The rope challenge has changed since I last went..it is now a full-on rope course with a harness. You are on the top, near the ceiling above all the games with 12 different options to walk across. Some are thin, thick, steps, ladders, crazy obstacles.  As my children said, “You just gotta get used to it!” Some are scary, some are easy.  After one time through, they were professionals and going fast!  The rock wall gives you a few attempts on the easy course, and if you complete that, you can attempt the next level.  Both options were equally fun and I am sure they wished I had more money, so they could have each done both fun challenges.

Check their website and Groupon for coupons so you can maximize the most fun for your admission price. (A Scoop tip: If your children are going to ride the race cars, sign them up at the computers first behind the cashier, and then get in line to pay. You have to register them and check the waiver form before you pay, and then they are assigned a racing time.)

Not only does Andretti’s have a complete menu of food and desserts, they have a bar too.

Enjoy the indoor karting and games, and tell them the Scoop Kids sent you!
